ECO-TOURS IN MAZATLAN

Mazatlan is a true ecotour paradise, home to over 400 species of birds, including 35 species endemic to Mexico, and 17 species endemic to Mexico and Central America.  Every year between December and March, we offer whale watching tours, letting you witness magnificent humpback and gray whales, so huge yet so graceful.  The rest of the year, we offer Wild Dolphins trips where you can actually swim with wild dolphins if they let you!  Add to that some really off-the-beaten-track ecotours like Temazcal and the famous Petroglyphs of La Lambrada, and you will not be without ecological and nature tours during your stay in Mazatlan!

MAZATLAN BIRDWATCHING AND ECO-TOURS FAQ's

Q: I'M ON A CRUISE SHIP - WILL I BE PICKED UP AT THE PIER?
A: Yes, we'll pick you up at the pier, or at your hotel if you are staying in Mazatlan.  Exact details vary, but make sure to read the tour detail page to see any important details.

Q: DO YOU OFFER BIRDWATCHING TOURS?
A: We used to, but unfortunately when cruise ships stopped coming to Mazatlan as much, the bird watching guides went out of business.  We hope to add them back soon now that tourism is again on the upswing!

Q: CAN I DO A PRIVATE TOUR?
A: Yes!  All of these eco-tours are available with private options.

Q: WHAT OTHER KINDS OF WILDLIFE MIGHT I SEE OTHER THAN WHALES?
A:  In addition to whales, you might encounter wild dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, many species of marine birds like pelicans and cormorants, and of course tropical fish!  On our River Ride you might also see many types of livestock, and perhaps some other wildlife.
