The Temazcal has been a special part of Pre-Columbian native culture in Mexico for over 1200 years. Also very common in the Mayan culture, in Mazatlan this unique sweat lodge was made popular by the Nahuatl, an ancient culture native to Sinaloa.

The natives would use Temazcal for purification after physical exertion like battle or a ball game. It was also widely used for healing the sick and for women to give birth due to its special healing powers. Today, Temazcal is still widely used among the native Mexican cultures, you will see at least one in nearly every Indian village. Now you can experience it too!

Your Temazcalero will guide you every step of the way, how to apply the special mud for exfoliation, prepare aromatic herbs for your steam bath, meditation exercises that relax your mind and free your soul. This is a Mazatlan spa experience like no other.

After your sweat lodge experience is complete, we'll enjoy a nice Mexican lunch in a local restaurant and see a tequila factory where you can learn about and taste this special liquor.

This was a truly wonderful experience. The trip getting there was a bit iffy with a line of protestors shutting down the freeway but after we got to the ranch ever was great! Loved the traditional sweat lodge and had a delightful lunch with mezcal dumplings. Watched a kitty eat an iguana! Yummy!

We had a great experience and really enjoyed our excursion. We were picked up right at the port and off we went! The transportation, the excursion experience, and the meal provided were all top-notch. We would definitely do this again.

It was such a womderful experience at a reasonable price. From being picked up on time to the sweat lodge and amazing lunch! I will certainly do it again. Thank you so much for this unique and unforgettable experience!

Went to the spa tour. We got picked up in time but unfortunately the next people on line never showed up, we waited 25 minutes for them. Poor driver. With that we got really delayed anyplace. The Spa was ok, but when we started eating we coudn't really finish as we got told to go to the Tequilla factory and leader shop, and we have to go back with the other driver, as the other ones do other activities. ( guess the late people were in that bunsch lucky them) Rushed to the limits. Food was exellent. We would have gladly walked around for a bit and eat lunch peacefully and take the bus back with the other ones, but nobody asked us.
