This will be an unforgettable
tour, as you voyage to the ancient regions of
Matatan and Chametla, where few tourists ever
have the opportunity to see. Get to know the
traditions of Los Matachines Indians who will be
dancing for you with their typical dresses in
the entrance of the town church. You'll
also delight in seeing the local artisans
hand-making furniture from palm leaves in the
ancient tradition.
The tour continues toward the
village of Chametla, following the route of the
Spanish conquistadors Hernan Cortez and Nuño de
Guzman, who conquered the region for the Spanish
crown in the year 1530. Explore the historical
zone where over 700,000 Totorame Indian used to
live during the arrival of the Spanish
conquerors, before enjoying a traditional meal
in a local Mexican Restaurant. This is
really a voyage into the historical past of
Sinaloa, very cool!
